Grubbs Family of Dealerships in Grapevine, TX is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to own the building and keep it running to Grubbs standards. You will handle interior and exterior upkeep, electrical and plumbing tasks, safety compliance, and coordinate with licensed contractors as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance, general contracting, building trades, or a related field.
• Broad working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general building repair.
• Ability to diagnose problems quickly and determine cost-effective solutions.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and managing multiple open work orders.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor with staff and vendors.
• Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and working in varied conditions.
• Trade certifications or licenses in relevant disciplines are a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary go-to resource for facility repairs and maintenance across interior and exterior areas.
• Identify maintenance issues proactively and address them before they become larger problems.
• Respond promptly to repair requests from department managers and leadership.
• Ensure workspaces, customer areas, and common spaces are safe and well maintained.
• Perform electrical work including lighting repairs, outlets, breakers, and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and equipment; coordinate with contractors as needed.
• Handle interior repairs including drywall, painting, doors, flooring, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, and carpentry.
• Maintain restrooms, break rooms, offices, service bays, and customer lounges.
• Hang, mount, and install fixtures, signage, shelving, and equipment.
• Address work orders timely with attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Maintain exterior upkeep including parking areas, landscaping coordination, lighting, signage, fencing, and drainage.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes; maintain tool and inventory records.
