Burnet County is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to support county facilities and property under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. The role covers a broad range of tasks from operating tools and heavy equipment to construction, lawn care, and janitorial duties.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of related maintenance experience, read blueprints, and can use a PC for word processing and communication. On-call and overtime may be required.

Competenze

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid Class C Texas Driver’s License.
• Must maintain and keep current CFC license and NIMS training.

Mansioni

• Assist the maintenance supervisor in maintaining and keeping in good functioning repair of county equipment and facilities.
• Operate small and large hand and power tools.
• Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators and manlifts and operate vehicle with trailer in tow.
• Operate computer, type, answer phone, and small business machines.
• Operate metering devices such as electrical meters, air gauges, freon gauges, thermal reading meters, water meters and timers.
• Perform construction on county buildings and property including walls, concrete, flooring, doors, ceilings, roofs, plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
• Perform lawn maintenance including brush clearing, mowing, trimming shrubs and trees.
• Perform janitorial duties such as cleaning restrooms and facilities.
• Advise maintenance supervisor of issues related to contracts.
• Assist with repairs, maintenance or installations to ensure safety and sanitation.
• Communicate issues to supervisor, including priority status.
• Monitor installation and maintenance of equipment across facilities.
