Job summary

Lutheran Social Services (LSS) is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician in Milwaukee, WI for a full-time role. You will maintain facilities across multiple properties, perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs, and support on-call emergency maintenance.

Travel within the Milwaukee area may be required. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, 2+ years in facility maintenance, and the ability to read blueprints and use maintenance tools.

Qualifications

• Skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks across multiple properties/sites.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.
• Able to read blueprints and maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and complete repairs promptly.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and general repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC, boilers, water heaters, and mechanical equipment.
• Assist with apartment turnover and make-ready projects.
• Monitor vendor work and manage supplies within guidelines.
