Job summary

MSS Solutions, LLC in Charleston, SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Roper II to service our Downtown Charleston facility. You will perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general maintenance work to keep operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of commercial-building maintenance experience, fluent English, and the ability to work flexible hours. A background check and drug test are required, with a focus on safety and quality service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or GED within 6 months of hire.
• 3+ years of experience in repair and maintenance of commercial buildings.
• Skilled in at least two: electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting or general maintenance.
• Fluent in English (speak, read, write).
• Able to work flexible hours and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Maintain accurate records and strong communication skills.
• Experience leading project management and delivering quality service.
• Knowledge of SDS and Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PDA.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain lighting, ballasts, circuits, and outlets.
• Operate and test electronic systems (fire alarm, security, timers).
• Repair and maintain plumbing: toilets, drainage, valves, fixtures.
• Carpentry: repair furniture, wall patches, tile, roofing, floors.
• HVAC: operate, service, lubricate motors/pumps/fans, assist repairs.
• General: maintain clean mechanical rooms and respond to work orders promptly.
• Perform painting, janitorial tasks, event setups, and equipment installation as needed.
• Maintain logs per ACA, document actions, and participate in safety meetings.
