Job summary

Pueblo West Metropolitan District is seeking a Facilities Technician to lead maintenance initiatives across district buildings and properties. You will perform preventive and corrective work in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance to ensure safe and efficient district facilities.

The role requires strong trade skills, the ability to operate power tools with PPE, and experience with security installations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; valid Colorado class “R” driver’s license.
• Three years of general commercial building maintenance or related experience.
• Physical ability to perform lifting, climbing, bending, and working in outdoor conditions.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings and facilities.
• Maintain HVAC units, swamp coolers, furnaces, plumbing fixtures, and lighting.
• Repair and replace electrical outlets and fixtures; service belts and filters.
• Build, repair, and install security measures, doors, and fencing as needed.
• Mow and maintain outlying properties; snow removal for parking areas.
• Operate tools and equipment with proper PPE; report breakdowns to Facilities Manager.
