Job summary

Thanksgiving Point in Utah is seeking a hard-working facilities/maintenance technician to join our team. You will perform repairs, inspections, maintenance, troubleshoot, and occasional installations and renovations across our property, focusing on building systems safety and aesthetics.

Candidates should have experience in maintenance across two trades, prefer trade school or certifications, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work with tools, and pass background/MVR.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience with and ability to use a large variety of power tools and hand tools.
• Experience with at least two different trades.
• Trade school, certifications, and/or apprenticeships highly preferred.
• Able to think critically, work independently, provide solutions, and follow instructions with integrity.
• Must pass background check and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Must hold valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems in safe a compliant manner.
• Maintain a safe and productive work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements.
• Report violations of policies, procedures, and guidelines to immediate supervisor.
• Engage in department processes designed to keep work flowing in a cost-effective manner.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System/work order system using mobile phone to perform work, record work completed, identify parts usage, and use warranties in a timely and effective manner.
• Provide effective problem solving when work volume is high, and staff is spread thin.
• Assist with event setup for large private and public events, where heavy lifting, tools or heavy equipment are required.
• Professional and kind at all times with a great customer service attitude.
• Inform management when supplies and tools need to be ordered to complete job.
• Exemplify Thanksgiving Point's Mission, Values, and Policies with curiosity, compassion, and confidence.
• Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.
