Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services, Inc. is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to deliver preventative and corrective maintenance at our headquarters campus.

You will apply trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and painting to keep facilities in top condition, using a company vehicle and tools provided. Strong safety awareness, ability to read instructions, and excellent communication with clients are essential.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of general maintenance experience, including minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• HS diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.), or Specialty Floor Care, preferred.
• Must possess applicable certifications, licenses, and valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions including safety policies and operating manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Completes preventative maintenance and repairs per work order requirements.
• Performs minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems (toilets, urinals, valves, fixtures) and sensors for automatic kits.
• Performs routine painting, carpentry, and general maintenance to keep facilities in like-new condition.
• Performs repairs and routine maintenance of walls, floors, doors and related finish work.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance as allowed within state law (fixtures, switches, outlets).
• Completes service inspections and asset inspections as needed.
• Uses handheld devices and business systems to manage work orders and submit reports; maintains supply levels.
