Job summary

QLI is seeking a full-time maintenance team member in Omaha to perform routine and preventive maintenance across buildings and systems. The role involves diagnosing issues, repairing plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks, and supporting groundskeeping.

A safety-minded, detail-focused professional who can work in tight/heightened spaces is needed. Applicants should have general maintenance experience, plumbing and electrical knowledge, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience required.
• Plumbing knowledge to address leaks and clogs.
• Electrical wiring capabilities to manage building electricity.
• Carpentry ability for basic repairs around the building.
• Interpersonal skills to interact professionally with team and clients.
• Attention to detail to avoid hazards and ensure quality work.
• Physical stamina to work a full shift and stay active.
• Ability to work in tight/elevated locations (lifts, rooftops, ladders).
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance around the buildings and preventively service equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems; replace or repair parts.
• Repair plumbing leaks to restore full use of water fixtures.
• Maintain HVAC equipment for climate control.
• Implement preventative measures to reduce future issues.
• Address safety hazards to prevent injuries.
• Paint interior and exterior walls.
• Use appropriate tools to diagnose and repair issues.
• Assist groundskeeping team as needed.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machinery and facilities to drive efficiencies.
