Carter Machinery Co. Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical and electrical upkeep across our facilities in Chesapeake, VA. This role, on the 1st shift, emphasizes responsive troubleshooting and proactive maintenance of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.

You’ll collaborate with supervisors, support safety protocols, and deliver reliable service in a fast-paced environment while upholding our core values of integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years related experience, required.
• Professional electrician’s license and HVAC trade certification, a plus
• High school diploma or GED, required

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of service and maintenance to assigned facilities to keep utilities and equipment in optimum operating condition.
• Troubleshoot and perform mechanical repairs of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
• Interact with supervisor and communicate problems and concerns related to repairs.
• Promote a positive customer experience and uphold Carter Way core values.
