Job summary

Plainfield Health Care Center is looking for a friendly, long-term Maintenance Assistant to oversee the facility’s upkeep, ensuring a sanitary, attractive, and orderly environment. You will help keep electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety systems in good repair and report to the Plant Supervisor or Operations Manager.

This role requires a High School diploma and knowledge of housekeeping/maintenance procedures, with 2 years in long-term care preferred. The job offers full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs regular safety inspections and weekly walk-throughs of high-risk areas.
• Follows Life Safety and Preventative Maintenance tasks per regulations and documents accordingly.
• Prepares monthly maintenance schedule and tracks tasks in the system.
• Maintains complete records of maintenance activities and replacement parts.
• Loads and manages maintenance supplies and resources for daily tasks.
