Job summary

Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local store team in New Jersey. You will perform routine maintenance on facilities, equipment, and fixtures, following safety guidelines and schedules under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager.

The role requires physical capability, a valid driver’s license, and trade certification or experience in plumbing, electrical, or related trades.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Able to lift up to 50 lbs at a time
Able to move up and down ladders frequently
Comfortable working at heights frequently
Ability to sit or stand for long periods
Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with clean driving record and MVR
Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in one of the trades

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment) and hand/power tools
Use the work order management system to receive and document repair work orders
Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
Complete required training to operate equipment safely
