The City of Olathe seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team, performing hands-on work to keep city buildings safe, efficient, and operational for the public and staff. Daily duties include troubleshooting HVAC with building automation tools, electrical and plumbing repairs, responding to alarms, and managing work orders.

Qualifications

• Two+ years in general construction or facility maintenance.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude with strong problem solving.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose building systems and repair plumbing, electrical, lighting, and doors.
• Operate building automation systems to adjust schedules and temperatures.
• Document work in CMMS and communicate via email/calendar.
