Job summary

Jordan’s Furniture in Natick, MA is seeking a versatile Facilities Maintenance Technician. You will repair, maintain, and install electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and refrigeration systems while upholding safety and building codes. Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with occasional extended hours.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and English proficiency. DOT certification may be required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in facilities maintenance or related work.
• Must read and communicate effectively in English.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• May be required to fulfill D.O.T certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs electrical, HVAC, mechanical, refrigeration, and related systems.
• Troubleshoots and inspects facility systems; performs routine repairs.
• Daily walk-through of the facility with checklists.
• Supports facilities projects and coordinates distribution and storage as needed.
• Updates the computerized ticketing system with work status.
• Operates equipment such as forklifts and maintenance vehicles.

This position is located in Natick, MA and has a schedule of Monday - Friday; 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and may require working outside and above regular hours at times.

Pay Range: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour

Responsibilities we trust you to perform:

• Maintains and repairs a variety of equipment and systems such as furniture lifts, plumbing, entertainment venues, energy management, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, carpentry, as well as daily operations
• Troubleshoots and performs routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance of facility systems and equipment (e.g. water, power distribution, exhaust, fire alarms, emergency procedures, gas and electrical distribution, fans, motors, blowers, pumps and sprinklers)
• Performs a daily walk-through of the facility with designated lists
• Assists with facilities projects as necessary (e.g. location of facility systems, zones, water & power distribution, and pick up, store or distribute stock)
• Updates computerized ticketing system with status of work completed
• Operates and repairs equipment such as forklifts, maintenance vehicles, and tow motors
• Uses and maintains tools and equipment in accordance with company and OSHA safety standards and Jordan’s safety protocols
• Any other function or responsibility as assigned by the Supervisor

What you bring to the table:

• 3-5 year's experience in related work.
• Requires working knowledge of the operation of all company equipment and pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, carpentry, and electrical systems
• Ability to update computerized ticketing system
• Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license to be able to drive to other locations to perform
  work duties
• May be required tosuccessfully fulfill D.O.T certification
