Who are we?
Jet Midwest is a full-service commercial aviation company, specializing in the sale and lease of commercial aircraft, engines, and parts as well as aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services to the aviation industry. This position is located at the Kansas City International Airport Area. We are looking for a motivated, high-energy team member to join our Facilities Maintenance team.
Please note – successful candidates must have the ability to obtain SIDA clearance with the Kansas City Airport.
What you should know about the day-to-day:
Jet Midwest occupies the former TWA Overhaul Base facility just south of the Kansas City International Airport. The facility is leased from Kansas City, MO and we have responsibility for facilities management within the rental footprint, which includes the interior of the building excepting utility mains feeding the buildings. This includes the interior building systems such as the physical structure, electrical, mechanical/HVAC, plumbing, and finishes, as well as the parking lot. The maintenance of our facility presents unique challenges due to its history, size, situation, and current utilization as well as the resources available to Jet Midwest. The successful candidate will be comfortable with utilizing creativity to prioritize projects and expenditures as well as maintaining an outstanding relationship with the city, tenants, and sub-tenants to evaluate and prioritize projects that will require additional support and resources.
Additionally, Jet Midwest owns the majority of our equipment and tooling, which places responsibility for maintenance, repair, and replacement within the purview of the facilities department.

Other important information:
While performing the responsibilities of the Facilities Technician, you will be performing work in a variety of interior and exterior conditions and will be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (may include respirators). The job will require the ability to frequently bend, reach, and lift, climb stairs/ladders and/or work high off the ground, stand or walk for extended periods of time, work in tight/closed-in spaces, grasp tools, and parts, crouch and/or crawl.
