Job summary

Pima Community College Foundation Inc. seeks a General Maintenance Technician I to perform maintenance across campus facilities, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related repairs. The role may involve evenings and weekends to support campus operations and events.

Responsibilities include documenting work orders, assisting with special projects, and maintaining records. Strong knowledge of trades and ability to work with vendors is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of certification, education and experience.
• Up to one year of related experience with equipment maintenance.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license.
• Vocational or technical training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Completes maintenance and basic repairs on commercial buildings, facilities, and equipment.
• Maintains interior and exterior lighting for campus safety and illumination of classrooms.
• Performs preventative maintenance inspections and reports safety or maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Responds to emergency breakdowns of utilities and assists faculty and students.
• Operates vehicles, handcarts, and tools to repair and install equipment; cleans and maintains tools and vehicles.
• Assists with inventory, procurement, and setup for campus events.
