Job summary

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician I for our government customer in Norco, California. This entry-level role supports Facilities Operations & Maintenance under supervision, performing basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and routine grounds care.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Must be able to lift, climb ladders, operate small power equipment, and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assists other trades inspecting facility equipment in need of repair.
• Assists in troubleshooting minor facility issues to determine repairs.
• Performs entry-level maintenance and repairs under supervision.
• Assists in routine maintenance of building mechanical and electrical systems.
• Assists with preventative maintenance and equipment servicing.
• Assists with completing facilities projects and repairs as required.
• Maintains grounds and performs related duties.
• Operates equipment such as mowers, trimmers, chain saws, and forklifts.
• Responds to emergency situations as needed.
• Cleans and maintains facilities and grounds.
