Job summary

Brevard County is seeking an entry-level building maintenance employee to assist in preventive maintenance and repair across county facilities. The position is full-time, with a typical 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

schedule and potential evenings, weekends, and holiday hours. Preference is given to candidates with basic maintenance experience and a valid Florida driver’s license. Salary ranges from $19.88 to $21.87 hourly, with consideration for experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience in commercial building maintenance and repair.
• Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

Responsibilities

• Performs entry-level service maintenance work assisting in the preventive maintenance and repair of building electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, grounds, and/or mechanical equipment of assigned County buildings and facilities.
