Job summary

Brevard County is seeking a skilled maintenance worker to perform routine and minor repairs across county facilities, with emphasis on electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, grounds, and mechanical systems. The role requires independent work or assisting skilled trades, and involves travel countywide.

The ideal candidate has at least three years in commercial building maintenance, a valid Florida driver's license, and the ability to pass a skills evaluation and background check.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in commercial building maintenance and repair.
• Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

Responsibilities

• Performs experienced service maintenance work in the routine maintenance and repair of building electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, grounds, and/or mechanical equipment of assigned County buildings and facilities.
• Employees may work on their own or assist skilled crafts and trades workers.
