Job summary

Bottleworks Hotel at Indianapolis, part of Geronimo Hospitality Group, seeks a Facilities Technician I to maintain guest areas and exterior spaces. The role focuses on aesthetics, safety, and timely response to maintenance requests to ensure an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities include property upkeep, grounds maintenance, lighting checks, and assisting other technicians. A valid driver’s license and basic maintenance knowledge are required to perform duties daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• General knowledge in building and grounds maintenance.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with tenants, contractors and management.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on assigned properties to keep them safe and visually appealing.
• Respond to maintenance calls and concerns promptly.
• Maintain grounds and landscaping, including snow/ice removal as needed.
• Verify lighting systems and fire safety equipment are functioning.
• Drive as part of essential duties and support other technicians.

YOUR ROLE IN CREATING GERONIMOMENTS

As the Facilities Technician I, you are responsible for performing maintenance on assigned properties to keep them free from safety hazards and ensure they are kept in aesthetically pleasing condition. This position is responsible for responding to maintenance calls and concerns.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

• Full focus on aesthetics of a property or group of properties.
• Grounds/parking lot clean up.
• Verifies all lighting systems are operating properly.
• Attention to detail on cleanliness of entrances of tenant suites/spaces.
• Perform routine checks/sign offs of fire extinguishers and exit/emergency lights within the property(s).
• Snow/ice removal as necessary.
• Identifying any potential safety hazards on a property or group of properties.
• Maintaining landscapes/hardscapes within the property(s).
• Support for other Maintenance Technicians when necessary.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the shop/working areas.
• Driving is an essential function.

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience and/or Training

• General knowledge in building and grounds maintenance
• Valid driver's license
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with tenants, contractors and management.

Technology/Equipment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Degree from a two or four-year college or university.

Technology/Equipment

• Yardi or equivalent software experience

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT

• U.S. Work Authorization (required).
