Job summary

Arctic Slope Native Association, Ltd. in Utqiaġvik, Alaska is seeking a maintenance worker to perform semi-skilled construction, maintenance, modification and repair tasks across residential and service facilities, including carpentry, plumbing and electrical work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of work experience in carpentry, mechanics, electrical and plumbing.
• Ability to learn programs and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks including basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry work.
• Snow and ice removal and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and security systems.
• Maintains and repairs structures and grounds as needed.
• Uses power tools for repairs and maintenance; inspects facilities and inventories.
• Maintains records and completes receiving reports; performs janitorial duties as assigned.
• Communicates changes and progress, responds to customer needs promptly.
