Job summary

Safer Human Medicine in New York is seeking a Physical Plant Technician I to support daily maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of facility systems and equipment. This hands-on role focuses on preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and general facility support.

You will assist senior staff, handle routine tasks, and help maintain safe, clean work areas while contributing to compliant and efficient operations in a research environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine preventive maintenance on facility equipment and systems.

• Assist with troubleshooting minor mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and equipment issues.
• Inspect facility areas and equipment for maintenance or safety concerns.
• Complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner.
