Zusammenfassung

The City of Lake Worth seeks a Maintenance Worker to perform upkeep and repairs of city buildings and equipment under the Public Works supervision.

Responsibilities include HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, janitorial duties, and assisting fleet maintenance. The role requires physical ability and a valid Texas driver's license.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and construction-related experience.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED; some construction-related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of backhoe, crack sealer, dump truck, front-end loader, jackhammer and hand tools.
• Valid Class C Texas driver license; CDL preferred.

Aufgaben

• Replacement of filters and belts on central heat and air equipment.
• Proper adjustments of doors and locking mechanisms.
• Replacement of plumbing fixtures and cleaning of drain.
• Replacement of worn or damaged electrical equipment.
• Service on refrigeration units (excluding Freon handling).
• Miscellaneous building repairs such as painting and replacing floor and ceiling tiles.
• Janitorial duties such as cleaning, sweeping and mopping city facilities.
• Setup rooms for classes and meetings.
• Assist with fleet maintenance as needed.
• Assists in other department activities as needed.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Work weekends, holidays and special events as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
