Job summary

Kids for the Future in Gulfport, MS is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable operation of building systems. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and proactive maintenance planning across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing areas.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Education Requirements

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an associate’s degree in engineering is preferred but may be substituted by progressive equivalent job experience. Minimum experience should be at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the operation of a commercial or institutional facility. Experience should include a well-rounded background and vast knowledge of heating, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing systems, including equipment maintenance and repairs.

• Maintains accurate records with regard to annual inspection of equipment and general preventative maintenance including rotational work assignment.
• Is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of maintenance department.
