Job summary

Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to service multiple health facilities. You will perform HVAC maintenance, environmental system upkeep, and general repairs on electrical, plumbing, and building components.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of skilled maintenance experience, plus a valid TN class D license. On-call work and custodial support may be required to ensure safe, operable facilities.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Two years of skilled maintenance/repair on electrical, environmental, or mechanical building systems.
• Valid class D driver's license and auto insurance per Tennessee law.
• Willingness to work outside scheduled shifts or on call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on environmental and HVAC systems.
• Replace/clean filters and maintain thermostats.
• Repair/maintain electrical, plumbing, fixtures, doors, and hardware.
• Inspect building systems and report failures or needed repairs.
• Maintain grounds and assist custodial and security tasks.
• Keep records and prepare reports.
