Job summary

Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on systems inside and outside multiple health-related facilities. The role involves preventative maintenance, filter replacement, and upkeep of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fixtures.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and at least two years of skilled maintenance or repair experience on building systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of skilled maintenance/repair on electrical, environmental, or mechanical building systems.
• Valid class D driver’s license with own vehicle and current insurance as required by Tennessee law.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on environmental systems.
• Replace or clean filters.
• Maintain HVAC systems and thermostats.
• Repair/maintain fixtures, electrical systems, and plumbing.
• Inspect and maintain building safety features and alarms.
• Keep records and reports of maintenance activities.
• Assist in custodial services and in evaluating physical conditions of buildings.
