The City of Denton, TX is hiring a Maintenance Technician IV (Licensed Technician) to troubleshoot and repair commercial-grade HVAC, plumbing, CCTV, access control, or electrical systems across City facilities. The role requires licensure, several years of trade experience, and compliance with safety and building codes.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, system repairs, security equipment upkeep, and coordination with contractors.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal building and environmental regulations and codes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to review information and implement solutions.
• Beginners level experience with Microsoft Office 365 and related software systems.
• Ability to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
• Good interpersonal skills and tact in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.

Responsabilités

• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance.
• Install/maintain door hardware and electrical systems.
• Maintain card access security components.
• Repair roofing and plumbing systems; work with contractors as needed.
• Assist in hanging TVs, pictures, and art.
• Repair drywall, ceilings, flooring, furniture, signage, and lighting.
• Test and maintain cooling towers and chilled water systems.
• Troubleshoot HVAC systems and components with guidance.
• Perform generator checks and maintenance.
• Provide data for computerised work order systems and quotes.
