Job summary

South Slope is seeking a Facilities Maintenance professional to keep buildings safe, functional, and well-maintained for employees, visitors, and members. You will perform routine repairs, preventive upkeep, and coordinate with vendors.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a community-driven, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in facilities systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform preventive upkeep.
• Basic computer skills for records and reporting.
• Safety-minded with capacity to work independently or in a team.
• Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States.
• Two years of facilities maintenance or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain basic plumbing, HVAC, electrical, hardware, carpentry, and general facility systems.
• Service equipment, small engines, and automotive vehicles.
• Inspect contractor work and identify projects needing vendor support.
• Update electronic records for repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
• Keep common areas maintained and assist with occasional cleaning.
• Respond to emergencies, closures, and weather-related needs, including snow and ice removal.
• Operate a company vehicle and other equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and support a safe environment for all employees, visitors, and members.
