Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance or facility operations required.
• Knowledge of standard practices, procedures and tools in the general building/maintenance trades preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to facility and equipment including plumbing, carpentry, painting and mechanical repair.
• Back-up for call person in case of emergency; respond timely and appropriately.
• Handle equipment safely; use tools properly.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedule and complete reports.
• Inspect and maintain emergency power equipment, generator weekly; inspect fire alarm system; test extinguishers monthly; inspect lighting system.
• Inspect and maintain plumbing system; repair fixtures; refinishing furniture.
• Must be able to climb a ladder.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Perform other functions as assigned.
