Job summary

Walmart in Kernersville, NC seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform routine preventive maintenance ensuring safety, functionality, and aesthetics of facilities and equipment.

You will inspect, repair, and document maintenance activities, manage work orders and contractors, and coordinate parts orders. Strong emphasis on OSHA/EPA compliance and safety; a valid driver's license is expected.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification with 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, materials handling, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, materials handling, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no DUIs/DWIs in the last 5 years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last 3 years.
• No serious traffic violations per FMCSA regulations in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and aesthetics of facilities and equipment.
• Inspect, clean, and repair facilities, equipment, or fixtures; document wear and tear and repair needs.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors; prepare required reports and invoices.
• Order parts and replacement equipment; track orders and submit warranty claims.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart quality standards.
