Job summary

Comparative Biosciences, INC in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to perform general building and fixture repairs, supervise outside contractors, and keep a clean, orderly workspace. You will also manage shipping and receiving and coordinate with vendors to schedule maintenance.

The role requires a High School Diploma, strong carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC knowledge, and safe operation of hand and power tools.

Qualifications

General facility maintenance experience and the ability to read manuals/SOPs.
Strong trade knowledge across carpentry, electrical, plumbing; HVAC basics.
Experience with hand and power tools and safe work practices.
Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs and manuals.
Must have a CA driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

Perform general facility maintenance and cleaning including janitorial duties
Troubleshoot and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Assess problems and repair equipment as able
Manage and coordinate vendor visits for necessary maintenance
Monitors landscaping, common area, and parking facilities
Conducts the physical movement of furniture, equipment, and materials as needed for conference room set-ups, facility events, and employee relocation
Propose solutions to address equipment issues, improve efficiencies, reduce cost, and address safety issues
Shipping and receiving
Performs other related work as required
Work in an efficient and timely manner with minimal supervision
