Job summary

PlanetArt is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance department in Woodridge, IL. The role covers building upkeep, preventative care, and operating with MaintainX CMMS. Extended hours include 10- and 12-hour days with weekend shifts during peak periods, and potential 2nd shift rotation.

Candidates must be local to Woodridge or willing to relocate. A High School diploma and 1–2 years of maintenance experience are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years proven maintenance and troubleshooting skills required or equivalent experience.
• Communication: read, write, and speak English; collaborate with warehouse team.

Responsibilities

• General upkeep: interior and exterior building maintenance; plumbing, air lines, basic electrical, carpentry, drywall patching, painting.
• Preventative facility care: replace light bulbs, HVAC filters, waste/recycling stations, maintain breakrooms/restrooms.
• Safety & exterior: regular building walks; inspect fire extinguishers and exits; maintain exterior grounds.
• CMMS usage: use MaintainX to close basic work orders and track supplies.
• Team support: assist maintenance technicians with material moves and prep work.
• Repair assistance: assist with repair of powered conveyors and gravity conveyors.
• Other duties as assigned.
