Job summary

Volunteers of America Texas is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Worker to support building operations in Fort Worth, TX. This full-time role offers an hourly pay rate of base $21.20 plus $5.36 fringe per hour, equaling $26.56 total per hour.

You will assess maintenance needs, perform repairs within your expertise, install equipment, manage inventory, and coordinate with contractors. A valid Texas driver’s license and ability to work independently are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus relevant maintenance experience.
• Valid Texas Driver's License, clear MVR, and ability to be insured.
• Ability to work independently with a focus on customer service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain systems for facility maintenance reporting.
• Evaluate and repair maintenance issues within scope; contract use for advanced work.
• Build or modify interior structures as needed.
• Install equipment and move furniture or fixtures as required.
• Manage tool and repair part inventory and ordering.
• Establish and execute preventative maintenance programs.
• Complete reports and paperwork promptly.
• Drive to and from job sites safely and independently.
• Provide excellent customer service aligned with VOA-Texas mission.
