Job summary

Maricopa County is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair county facilities. You will perform routine and emergency repairs, manage work orders, and ensure spaces and infrastructure remain in good operating condition.

The role requires at least two years of experience in maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and proficiency with Maximo and Microsoft Office. A valid Arizona driver’s license and PREA background check are part of the requirements.

Qualifications

• Two years of repair and maintenance experience including semi-skilled trades.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years in a large commercial/industrial environment preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Maximo software.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and correct all repairs on work orders, including routine and emergency tasks.
• Respond to service calls across Maricopa County buildings and close work orders.
• Replace air filters, belts, lights, switches, outlets, and low-voltage motors on site.
• Use hand tools and power equipment to perform building maintenance and repairs.
• Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, and mechanical maintenance as needed.
• Operate computers and mobile devices for time management, inventory and assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.
