Job summary

The State of Missouri is seeking an entry-level Maintenance and Grounds Technician to support the Office of Administration, Facilities Management, Design, and Construction (OA-FMDC). You will perform grounds maintenance, light electrical/plumbing repairs, and general facility upkeep across state buildings, emphasizing safety and customer service.

This role involves outdoor work, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating lawn equipment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in light trades and general maintenance.
• Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Valid Missouri driver’s license (or adjacent state) for travel as needed.
• OSHA awareness or safety-minded approach preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor for handling building materials, furniture, supplies and other items.
• Maintain grounds and perform snow removal and salt application.
• Assist in cleaning parking lots and patching asphalt.
• Perform light electrical, plumbing, drywall repairs and painting.
• Respond to emergency calls and travel to other facilities as needed.
• Operate under general supervision and follow work orders to meet project objectives.
