Job summary

Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all commercial equipment that supports our Walmart stores. You will develop preventative maintenance schedules, complete PMs within the specified timeframe, and conduct training for Store Associates on the care and cleaning of equipment.

You will perform minor repairs, manage work orders and maintenance schedules, and provide required documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
• Strong customer‑service orientation and clear, respectful communication.
• Self‑motivated self‑management and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
• Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
• Manage work orders and maintenance schedules; provide required written and electronic documentation such as expense vouchers, weekly summaries, and maintenance logs.
