Job summary

DSV Lancaster facility is seeking a Facility Specialist, Maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of the building and equipment. Responsibilities include routine maintenance across plumbing, carpentry, painting, mechanical, electrical, and custodial tasks, plus preventative maintenance and safety oversight.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of maintenance experience, ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures, and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must have at least one year of general facilities, systems maintenance, and repair work experience and/or other training; will consider an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate.
• Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining the condition of the building and equipment. Perform general maintenance and simple repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, mechanical, electrical, or custodial tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance on building and equipment systems to keep them at optimum operating levels and inspect site equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment and furnishings within the facility; ensure daily operation of building and material handling equipment.
• Identify safety hazards and maintain a safe work site during repairs or maintenance.
• Assist in identifying problems and make recommendations for resolution; follow instructions and established procedures.
