Job summary

Meyer Distributing in Carlisle, PA is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and repair across a variety of systems. You will be a hands-on problem-solver responsible for keeping our facilities running smoothly.

Responsibilities include PIT mechanic work for Carlisle and Sinking Spring facilities (forklift, manlift, dock plates and dock door repairs), HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and general building maintenance, plus daily equipment

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Certification: Valid PA driver's license preferred.
• On-the-job training: Minimum one month on the job training required.
• Experience: Previous warehouse or building maintenance experience preferred.

• PIT mechanic for Carlisle and Sinking Spring facilities (forklift, manlift, dock plates and dock door repairs).
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry maintenance and general building maintenance.
• Perform physical PIT equipment inspections daily.
• Make repairs in the facility including painting, drywall, basic plumbing, racking, etc.
• Seasonal groundskeeping duties such as mowing, weed eating, landscaping, and snow removal.
• Use company vehicle to travel between facilities.
• All other duties as assigned.

We’re looking for a reliable and skilled General Maintenance Technician to join our team! You’ll be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks across a variety of systems and structures to help keep our facility running smoothly. Location: Carlisle, PA
Job Type: Full-Time OR Part Time - Let's discuss!
Pay Rate Range: $25.50 - $27.50/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: 6:00am-3:00pm EST

*Required to travel as needed to our Sinking Springs, PA facility for maintenance as needed.

Essential Functions and Basic Job Duties:

• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry maintenance and general building maintenance
• Perform physical PIT equipment inspections daily

• Use of company truck to travel between facilities
