Job summary

Vitality in Sanford, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine preventative maintenance throughout the community and assist with moving deliveries, floor care, and general repairs to keep our facilities clean, safe and welcoming. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, 3–5 years painting/wallcovering experience, and basic electrical or plumbing skills.

They must be able to lift up to 100 lbs, work on-call for emergencies, and follow health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years painting/wallcovering experience in residential settings.
• Electrical and plumbing experience preferred.
• Proficient in reading and following written instructions.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance, as directed by supervisor.
• Empty/collect trash throughout the community.
• Strip, wax, and buff floors on a scheduled routine basis and as needed.
• Move furniture, equipment, and assist residents with deliveries.
• Assist with grounds care as necessary, such as seasonal tasks.
• Complete work orders and minor building repairs.
• Support security and safety procedures as assigned.
