Job summary

Kiawah Island Golf Resort is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for the evening shift to support internal departments and manage the upkeep of our commercial facilities on Kiawah Island. Responsibilities include completing work orders, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure facility longevity and safe operation.

Qualified applicants will be able to work 2:00pm–10:00pm, possibly weekends/holidays, and must be at least 18 with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Evening availability between 2:00pm - 10:00pm is required, may include weekends/holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old due to equipment and environment.
• Minimum of two years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Assist internal departments with service calls and upkeep of commercial facilities.
• Complete assigned work orders efficiently to resort standards.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair resort equipment for longevity.
• Conduct ongoing maintenance programs.
• Routinely inspect properties to identify opportunities and needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• Perform light plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
• Show attention to detail and strong organizational/communication skills.
• Uphold resort policies and values.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Position Summary: This position assists our internal departments’ staff with all service calls, as well as manages the overall upkeep of our commercial facilities. Routinely inspects all properties to identify any potential opportunities and current needs. And performs preventive maintenance as scheduled, including but not limited to, replacing bulbs and air filters.

Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Evening availability between 2:00pm - 10:00pm is required, and may include weekends and holidays.
• Minimum 18 years of age due to type of equipment used and general work environment.
• Minimum of Two or more years of maintenance experience highly preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

• Must have an eye for detail in the trade.
• Must possess good organizational and communication skills.

Essential Physical Requirements

• Must be in good physical condition and have the ability to move / lift various objects throughout shift.
• Must be comfortable climbing and working on ladders ranging from 6’ to 20’ heights.
• Must be able to stand for a majority of the shift while reaching, bending and stooping frequently.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds across short-medium distance.
• Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
• Must be able to work in all-weather elements and heights.
