Job summary

Carlton Senior Living in Davis, CA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help with repairs, upkeep, and safety across the community. You will assist in preventive maintenance, respond to resident needs, and support operations for events and move-ins in a person-centered environment.

The role requires at least six months of relevant education or hands-on experience, familiarity with power tools or cleaning equipment, and a background in facilities maintenance or related trades.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old per Title 22 requirements.
• At least six months of relevant education and/or hands-on experience required.
• Prior experience with power tools or industrial cleaning equipment is preferred.
• Background in facility maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, or plumbing is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Manager with repairs, upkeep, and preventative maintenance of the building, equipment, and grounds.
• Support apartment turnover by painting, cleaning carpets, and completing minor repairs to ensure units are move-in ready.
• Respond to maintenance requests and resident concerns promptly, professionally, and with a focus on satisfaction and safety.
• Perform routine tasks including trash management, safety checks, common area cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with other departments for event setups, move-ins/outs, and marketing needs while upholding community standards.
• Support safety protocols, emergency plans, and elopement prevention practices.
• Foster a warm, collaborative atmosphere with residents, families, and team members.
