Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. in Florida is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician with 5+ years of commercial maintenance experience and a strong focus on customer service.

You will service toll plazas and DOT offices, performing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing and generator tasks, while ensuring safety for workers and the traveling public. The role requires hands-on technical skills, ability to work outdoors, and coordination with supervisors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a commercial environment with facilities maintenance and strong customer service.
• EPA certified HVAC/CRAC knowledge and maintenance experience.
• Electrical, plumbing, roofing and generator knowledge.
• Experience with iOS/Android mobile apps for troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with UPS and fire/life/safety systems.
• General building tasks like doors, hardware, furniture handling.
• Ability to diagnose problems, read meters and reference specs.
• Oversight of subcontractors as needed.
• Willingness to work outdoors; self-starter; customer-facing.
• English language required; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain toll plazas/gantries and DOT offices on a hands-on basis.
• Ensure safety of workers and traveling public while performing duties.
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing and generators.
• Coordinate with supervisor for location assignments in South Florida (Broward/Palm Beach).
• Interface with customers to resolve issues and prioritize maintenance tasks.
• Supervise subcontractors when engaged and document work performed.
