BD in Plainfield, IN is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician to perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs across its facilities to keep operations safe and compliant.

The role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry tasks, equipment installation, tool management and documentation of all activities, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and teamwork at Becton, Dickinson and Company, including responding to maintenance requests and supporting shift coverage

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsabilités

• Regular Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and resolve issues.
• Maintenance Tasks: Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Repairs: Conduct minor and major repairs on building structures and systems, including plumbing, electrical, controls, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance to avoid potential breakdowns and malfunctions.
• Equipment Management: Install and set up new equipment, machinery, and maintain an inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
• Documentation: Document all installation, repair, and maintenance activities.
