Job summary

State of Oklahoma is seeking a Construction/Maintenance Technician to support the OSBI facilities in Oklahoma City and Edmond. Two vacancies cover HQ and the Forensic Science Center, focusing on carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance across state buildings.

Ideal candidates will have four years in building trades, strong safety knowledge, and the ability to follow instructions while coordinating with support services staff. Some travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Four years of building trades experience or equivalent.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of materials, fixtures, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain OSBI facilities; implement corrective actions.
• Perform carpentry, repairs, and renovations to buildings and fixtures.
• Oversee janitorial and lawn maintenance contracts for agency facilities.
• Provide backup support for supply store and mail room at HQ.
• Operate and maintain equipment used in construction and maintenance.
