Job summary

The City of Hollywood is seeking a semi-skilled maintenance worker to perform installation, operation, maintenance and repair of exterior and interior facilities. You may assist skilled trades in plumbing, electrical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, and you will maintain time and materials records.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of construction experience; four years preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Four years of construction or building repair experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and installs rough and finish wood and similar materials for repair and maintenance tasks and projects.
• Assists in the preparation for and installation of masonry and concrete products.
• Participates in the installation of roofing materials for repair and maintenance.
• Prepares surfaces and applies paint by brush or spray gun to municipal facilities.
• Assists licensed trades personnel in the maintenance and repair of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Prepares and maintains records of time and materials utilized.
• Represents the City professionally with colleagues and clients.
