Job summary

The City of Hollywood is seeking a semi-skilled worker for facility and equipment maintenance. The role covers installation, operation, maintenance and repair of rough and finish exteriors and interiors, including carpentry, masonry, roofing, drywall and painting.

You will assist licensed trades personnel, prepare surfaces, maintain records, and interact professionally with colleagues and the public. A high school diploma or GED and two years of general construction work are required; four years

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years in general construction or building repair and maintenance.
• Four years experience preferred and substitution possible with additional education/experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license, insurance, and clean background/driving records.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and installs rough and finish wood for repair tasks.
• Assists in installation of masonry and concrete products.
• Participates in roofing material installation for repairs.
• Prepares surfaces and applies paint to municipal facilities.
• Assists licensed trades personnel in plumbing, electrical, HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Maintains time and materials records.
