Job summary

Confederated Tribes Of The Colville Reservation in Nespelem, WA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine building maintenance including carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and cleaning. Qualifications

• HS diploma and 5 years’ work experience in building maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility for tribal insurance.
• Background clearance required and must be maintained.
• Working knowledge of tools, materials, processes, and techniques of routine maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret maps.
• Strong reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Tribal member and Indian preference apply; veterans preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspection of buildings and structures to determine functional systems and needed repairs.
• Assist with minor electrical maintenance (fixtures, switches, bulbs, etc.).
• Assist with minor plumbing maintenance (leaks, drains, lines, etc.).
• Assist with minor painting, carpentry and masonry work.
• Reconfigure and install modular offices and space to accommodate user needs.
• Prepare surfaces and paints for structures and equipment.
• Lawn care, mowing, trimming; snow removal.
• Clean rooms and common areas; order parts and maintain documents.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
