Job summary

Oaks Church is seeking a Facilities Maintenance 1st Shift role in Red Oak, TX. The Maintenance Assistant will support the Facilities Director and teams by performing routine repair and maintenance across buildings, grounds, and systems while upholding a safe, welcoming campus environment.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of building maintenance experience; a bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. This is a full-time hourly position with up to 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in general building maintenance
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repair and maintenance of facilities, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Inspect building interiors and exteriors and perform minor repairs.
• Move and relocate furniture and install fixtures as needed.
• Operate light vehicles following safety and protocol.
• Complete daily maintenance reports and assist with safety issues.
