Responsibilities

MV Transportation is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician, who is a journeyman facility maintainer with a combination of skills, abilities, and training that enable him/her to perform all basic aspects of facility maintenance and more complex assignments under the direction of the Director of Maintenance.

The Facility Maintenance Technician, under limited supervision of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, must act autonomously in developing daily personal work assignments to accomplish the workload of:

• Maintaining the facility and its appearance
• Managing the facility preventive maintenance program
• Performing or facilitating and documenting all facility maintenance PMI services
• Diagnosing facility issues for repair or communication to subcontractors or the Client, including electrical and HVAC systems
• Preparing and submitting records of work performed, both manual and computer-based as required
• Recording all parts and supplies used on equipment
• Becoming familiar with statutes and regulations pertaining to his/her trade
• Becoming familiar with AFSS and Combustible Gas Detection system testing and repair
• Ensuring safety policies and procedures are followed in the facility
• Keeping a clean and safe working environment
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Talent Requirements:

• High School diploma or a two-year technical degree is desirable
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive facility maintenance experience
• Required to provide tools of the trade
• Functional understanding of the design, operation, and maintenance of commercial office buildings and the facility components in a heavy-duty vehicle maintenance shop
• Familiarity with advanced technologies, including alternative fuels
• Proficiency in the use of facility diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting techniques
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
