Job summary

The City of Crestview is seeking a Building Facility Maintenance Technician to perform cleaning, light repairs, and general labor to keep facilities safe, operational, and welcoming for staff and the public.

You will transport supplies, assist with minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks under supervision, support improvement projects, monitor for hazards, and help set up events, requiring physical stamina and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in maintenance, custodial work, construction, or general labor preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and custodial tasks to support facility upkeep.
• Conduct light maintenance such as painting, fixtures, carpentry, and basic plumbing or electrical tasks under supervision.
• Assist with facility improvement projects and preventive maintenance.
• Transport and deliver supplies and equipment from approved vendors.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with setup and breakdown for meetings and events.
• Inspect areas for maintenance needs and report hazards promptly.
