Job summary

CareSouth Medical and Dental in Baton Rouge seeks a Facilities Cleaning Tech to perform timely cleaning, general maintenance, and preventive tasks across the clinic facilities and grounds. The ideal candidate has at least one year of healthcare janitorial experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with a Facilities Lead and Director of Facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of janitorial experience in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks: vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash removal and cleaning fixtures.
• Maintain lobby, waiting areas and clinic spaces; ensure glass surfaces are clean.
• Report maintenance needs to Facilities Lead or Director of Facilities.
• Monitor and respond to cleaning schedules, safety protocols and incident reports.
• Conduct routine checks of thermostats, lighting and facility security as assigned.
• Support general maintenance and assist with light repairs as needed.
